It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should've been sleeping like a log
(lyrics of A Hard Day's Night by the Beatles)
It has been a while since the last update in my blog. Life has been hectic since then.
Just submitted my final assignments for the Master's program late yesterday afternoon; the formal classes ended last week. As busy as a bee...had some sleepless (and shortest sleeping hours) nights for the last 2 weeks. Hey...what do you expect? Juggling within the 24 hours with work, assignments, parenting, and all other stuff at one shot. Yet, I'm not complaining...just letting you know about it. Some quarters of my friends admired me, some don't...with the question "why do you still want to study?"; "Kalau I tak laratlah...I nak belajar fasal ilmu akhirat ajelah sekarang..."; "Has this got something to do with your career?"; "Gila ke you, belajar lagi?"...and blah blah blah.
The answers to the above...NO! Stop questioning me. I'm doing it for a reason ok...it has got nothing to do with my career. I've reached the peak of my career now, no more ladder to climb unless I quit and become a CEO of my own company. The truth is...I have PASSION in it.... As well as to fulfill my dreams. Full stop.
Ever since my daughter leaves for Kuantan, we have been travelling to and fro the town quite extensively. I've counted..hmmmm....7 times of travelling for the last 6 weeks. Not bad, huh? No complaints....we enjoyed doing it as long as she's happy and we are happy, too. Friends said that it's a normal thing when you have your child studying away from home. Time will change that. I'm leaving again for Kuantan later this evening as there's a PTA meeting tomorrow. I shouldn't miss it as this is the first committee meeting after the election last 2 weeks. Hoping that I could contribute some ideas for the betterment of the school and students there....
SPM results were out, my son's results were alright, as parents we helped him to search, select and submit the necessary for higher education placement. I was wondering..it wasn't like that during my time as we did everything on our own. Again...my other friends said...it's a normal thing nowadays...parents are more worried about their children's future than the children themselves. My other son is "busy" again with his football, representing school, district, club and his routine street soccer game with friends on daily basis. I'm getting worried and nervous as he's sitting for his UPSR this year. But he's not worried at all! And the youngest will always be him....studying only as and when he pleases. Oh, boy...boys would be boys...those are their stories.
Mid of next week, I shall be leaving for Langkawi for a conference. My organisation is organising a conference and I'll be assisting the organising committee. Later, there'll be the Labour Day celebration. The judging for competition is over (which I was involved), and there'll be a contingent sent to participate in the gathering at the national level celebration.
During the busy period, I had so many ideas to be the topic for my blog; nevertheless it will be here, very soon. Wait for my updates.
